Some Art Deco Inspired images of Saba shot by Iain M
Saba joined us in the studio for a day last week and we had a lot of fun shooting some Art Deco inspired images. We used a charcoal fabric backdrop, a Fresnel lamp and a few different props to produce strong graphic shapes. Art Deco was heavily inspired by ancient Egyptian culture and art and the first image below uses a large round ball reminiscent of the hieroglyphs of figures under the round ball of the sun/Ra.
These images were shot remotely by Iain who lives in Scotland.
The following image uses a glass lap in the shape of a shell which gave some lovely light on the body. It is shot with a very open aperture to give a nice soft effect on the background which is further enhanced with frequency separation during editing.
Please let me know what you think about these images.
